In the upcoming months, the Management History Division will officially launch its Mentorship Program — an initiative designed to connect emerging scholars with experienced mentors and promote a vibrant, supportive academic community.
The Mentorship Program is designed to provide doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scholars with meaningful opportunities to receive personalized guidance from senior academics in areas such as research design, writing and publishing, teaching, and career development. Through one-to-one or small-group exchanges, mentees will gain valuable insights into navigating academic life, building professional networks, and positioning their work within the broader management and organization studies field.
Participation begins with an open call for mentees, who can apply to express their interest and indicate their research areas, career stage, and mentorship goals. Mentors will be matched accordingly to ensure alignment of interests and developmental needs.
Throughout the year, the Division will organize a series of mentorship events and informal gatherings — both virtual and, when possible, in person — offering moments for mentors and mentees to meet, share experiences, and reflect on progress. These sessions will also include thematic discussions on professional development, publishing strategies, and academic well-being.
We are currently finalizing the list of mentors, and further details — including the application process, timeline, and event schedule — will be shared soon.
Stay tuned for updates and prepare to take part in this exciting initiative that strengthens our scholarly community through dialogue, support, and shared growth.
