    Dear MH Division members,
On behalf of the Executive Committee, I am pleased to communicate the results of the elections for two important roles in the Management History Division: PDW Program Chair and Historian.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Nicholous “Nick” Deal, who has been elected as PDW Program Chair, and Dr. Regina A. Greenwood, who has been elected as Historian.
The PDW Program Chair is a one-year role that will chair the Division’s PDW Program for the 2027 Academy of Management Annual Meeting and begin the multi-year leadership rotation, continuing as Division Program Chair, Chair-Elect, Chair, and Past Chair. This role is central to the Division’s scholarly programming, leadership development, and continued service to the broader AOM community.
Nick is Associate Professor of Management at Mount Saint Vincent University. His research focuses on business ethics, responsible management, historical organization studies, microhistory, management education, Canadian management thought, and critical perspectives on leadership. His work has appeared in journals such as Management & Organizational History, Journal of Management History, Management Learning, Management Decision, Industry and Higher Education, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. He is also co-author and co-editor of major scholarly works, including ANTi-History: Theorization, Application, Critique and Dispersion and the forthcoming Elgar Encyclopedia of Historical Organisation Studies. Nick is already well known to our Division through his prior service as Communication Director, and we are pleased that he will continue contributing to the Division in this new leadership role.
The Historian serves a three-year term and helps preserve and communicate the Division’s institutional memory by maintaining records of meetings, policies, and promotional strategies; sharing past achievements with members; preparing an annual report for the Division Chair; and serving as parliamentarian for the Division’s by-laws, Academy by-laws, and Robert’s Rules of Order. This role is essential to our governance, continuity, institutional memory, and service to the broader AOM community.
Regina is Professor Emeritus in the Management and Entrepreneurship Department at the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. Before joining NSU, she was Associate Professor of Management at Kettering University. Her scholarly work spans management history, strategy, lean management, international culture and values, entrepreneurship, generational differences, and organizational learning. She has published in outlets including the Journal of Management, Journal of Management History, Academy of Strategic Management Journal, Management & Organizational History, and other leading management journals. Regina has made major contributions to the Academy of Management and to our Division, having previously served as Division Chair and Program Chair of the Management History Division, as well as Co-Historian and Co-Archivist for the Academy of Management. Her deep knowledge of the Division, the Academy, and the history of management thought makes her exceptionally well suited to this role.
These two roles are essential to the continued work of the Management History Division. They support our programming, institutional memory, governance, and service to the broader AOM community.
Congratulations to Nick and Regina, and thank you both for your continued service to the Management History Division.
