Episode 30 of the AMR Origins Series is out. In this episode, we hear how Dean Shepherd and Stella Seyb developed their upcoming AMR article entitled "
Grounding Business Models: Cognition, Boundary Objects, and Business-Model Change" which they published with Gerry George.
Dean is one of the most highly published and highly cited active entrepreneurship researchers and Stella was one of his Ph.D. students, and in this episode, they discuss how they combined concepts from different research domains -- cognition, business models, and boundary objects -- to formulate new theoretical insights into what drives business model change. It is great to hear how a junior and senior scholar worked together, each bringing a unique perspective to the collaboration to generate novel concepts and ideas.

The AMR Origins series is intended to be informative and educational for anyone wishing to submit to AMR. The goal of the series is to
demystify the theory-building process. Please share these interviews with anyone (Ph.D. students, junior scholars) who you think might benefit from listening to them.
