The Management History Division is pleased to offer two ways to ease the financial burden of members attending the Academy of Management Conference this year. Our division's Executive Committee recently approved provision within the budget to allow for scholarships and waivers for those who can demonstrate economic hardship.
Scholarship Applications
If you are a doctoral student or candidate, we are interested in covering your registration fees for the conference. This direct payment will allow you to register for the Academy of Management Conference without worrying about reimbursement. To qualify, you must:
- Have paid your membership fees for this year;
- Be a member in good standing of the Management History Division;
- Be registered in a full-time or part-time doctoral program;
- Commit to attending and participating in the Management History's conference session.
We are also interested in covering fees of members who consider themselves early-career academics – having graduated from a doctoral program within the last five years.
Waiver Applications
We also have a limited number of conference waivers that are reserved for individuals who are not members of the Academy of Management but will participate for a first and, likely, only time in the annual meeting this year. The waivers are usually for keynote speakers, public figures or the like.
To request a scholarship or waiver, please send an email no later than Monday, May 2, 2022, to MH Division Program Chair, Dr. Leon Prieto: leoncprieto@gmail.com
